  32. Well it depends on who uses your program and what their current payment
  33. rules are and what restrictions YOU put on your software.

  35. Amiga Computing paid 150 for each program that was in 1991 and 1995. AUI
  36. didn't pay anything for any of them :(

  38. If you tell them you want to be paid money for your stuff then they will
  39. pay, but then again they might not use it if they have to pay. Years ago
  40. I remember seeing adverts in magazines offering up to 1500 for a single
  41. coverdisk program!!! I'm sure they get enough offers for free stuff these
  42. days so they seem to have stopped giving away that sort of silly money :(

  44. As payment goes, you should expect to get more money from Registrations
  45. that you do from a 1 off magazine payement so thats the main reason for
  46. sending programmes to them. I haven't had much luck with 'game based'
  47. magazines up till now so maybe a game on a games magazine would do
  48. better than a game on a more serious mag :-/

  50. You also find that they sometimes go from PD games to shareware utils to
  51. commercial demos to "exclusive give aways" so there are times when a
  52. magazine won't even consider what you have.

  54. We should have a competition to see who can make it onto a magazine cover
  55. disk from now!!!! Everyone should send their programs off now and we'll
  56. wait and see what happens. I haven't bought an amiga magazine for a few
  57. months so if anyone can look through a few and send some addresses and
  58. details into this list we could all have a go :)
